This year, Schindler Parent is represented with two projects at the German Design Awards 2019. Our magazine-style annual report for Ravensburger AG earned a special mention from the German Design Council. And our image film for the Liebenau Foundation which focused on highly sensitive people – most of whom are marginalized in our society – was highlighted, too. The awards were both received in the Excellent Communication Design category. And for the Editorial category, the annual report with the sign of the blue triangle saw additional success.

Ravensburger in Conversation with Experts and Target Groups
The Ravensburger Annual Report 2016 was conceived as an assessment of the company’s position and put together magazine-style as an open dialogue with target groups and experts from various disciplines. Each article has an individual look that matches the content, while quick-reading texts convey the most important messages and make the reader curious. All in all, the Ravensburger report shows itself to be cutting edge. The current brand management was enthusiastically received. The image film for the Liebenau Foundation proved its excellence in the Audiovisual category.
The Liebenau Foundation with a Clear Focus on Human Fellowship
Communicating values and offers, creating trust, opening doors – this is what the image film of the Liebenau Foundation sought to achieve. It was created in the course of a comprehensive brand relaunch for the non-profit company. The visual language is full of vivid, appreciative portraits of in-care people, with emotional music reinforcing the poetic effect. The narrative text is based on the mission statement of the foundation and leads to its central message: “In our midst – the human being”.
The German Design Awards are the international premium prize of the German Design Council. Their goal: to discover, present and honour unique design trends. This is why top-class submissions from the product and communication design worlds are honoured every year, each one in its own way a pioneer in the international design landscape. The fact that we received Special Mentions for two projects this year delighted us – and left us with a sense of pride too, we admit.
