Since 2010 the International Editorial-Design & Research Forum has recognised outstanding publications within the disciplines of custom magazines, books, corporate design and magazines. This year saw 419 entries from 17 countries, including the staff publication designed and brought to life by Schindler Parent for our client Theben, which was one of the winners: theMA was able to deliver a convincing performance for the international jury in the category “Concept” – and we are delighted by the Award of Excellence.
theMA – forged from the corporate name building block “the” in “Theben”, and the German acronym MA (which stands for “Mitarbeiter” of “Member of staff”) – stands for exactly what the name says: it compiles company-relevant topics for Theben members of staff. The staff publication has already proven itself to be an important instrument of internal communication and corporate publishing after just a few releases.
The news source not only highlights important topics, but also anchors the brand values, brand positioning and corporate behaviour firmly in the minds of the company’s staff. This also makes it a medium for increasing staff association with the company and strengthening the Theben employer brand.
The ICMA Award along with the Award of Excellence underscores the staff publication’s intrinsic value and effectiveness. It is also a wonderful confirmation of a top-quality performance both for our client Theben and for Schindler Parent.
