HERMLE machining centers are known for their performance. The new website of the leading CNC milling machine manufacturer should also perform. The challenge: the extreme amount of information. The domain comprises over 1000 pages, plus 12 external landing pages and numerous features. We managed the entire process for the technology leader – from analysis and conception to implementation and content.
We clarify the project requirements in a collaborative workshop with the customer. We set up intuitive navigation for all interest groups and a central distribution system for all continents. The concept for the Megasite: less animation, but clearly sorted content. On the streamlined product pages, all details can be accessed via jump markers, and new filters now structure huge databases. With the go-live, we handed HERMLE a flexibly expandable website that can easily grow with the requirements of the brand and its online presence.
The flat design – without color gradients and without a subline, but with finer lettering – gives the HERMLE brand logo a straightforward and modern look. The start has been made: the web-optimized presentation of the logo is followed by the major project, the web relaunch.
No frills. The entire design of the campaign already represents HERMLE’s claim to precision, paired with clear messages. The focus is on the various industries and applications for which HERMLE CNC machines mill precise solutions. On the new website, the motifs slide through the header in a continuous loop.

An online presence that impresses – on all end devices: New on the HERMLE website are not only the menu navigation and filter options, but also a number of features. For example, the interactive world map with all global locations or jump bars. Structured product pages and an informative training and careers section show what HERMLE has to offer.
The evaluation of the new website speaks for itself: since the relaunch, which was also important for SEO optimization, HERMLE ranks 10th (+50) with “CNC milling machine manufacturer”, many keywords climb into the top ten of Google search results, “spindle machine construction” even makes it to the top. The new look and clear navigation not only increased the time users spent on the site, but also increased the number of page views per visit by 52%. At the same time, the bounce rate fell by 26%.
